Samsung has just started updating the Galaxy S4 with official Android 4.4.2 KitKat version, Currently it is available for US carriers. The update is started with Samsung's most popular model GT-I9500. Soon we will expect it to touch GT-9505 and other models.
Naturally, the update process is started in Russia and India, being the two markets where the Samsung Galaxy GT-I9500 model is most popular, these are the first countries which get this update. If there is no problem and everything goes well with this update, soon it would cover most of the countries.
Now that the official update process has been started, we expect that other Galaxy S4 models to join on the KitKat version very soon. Users can keep a check for the updates availability by connecting to the KIES app or by checking manually on the device.

The new firmware will bring all KitKat improvements and enhancements, better lockscreen with support for full-screen music album art and a dedicated camera shortcut, location service can be accessed from a new menu inside company's new software, some minor UI updates (monochrome status bar icons etc.), improved stability, and native Samsung keyboard has also been improved.
